Outdoor Performance Quality Makeup! HELP!

Hi,
I'm a performer &dancer (obviously...why else would i be here :-P)
and I am currently performing in an extremely active outdoor daytime show/parade called "Celebrate! A Street Party" at the Disneyland Resort here in California.
Because of the effort and sweat involved with this show (it consists of 3 ten minute mini-shows that encompass a variety of high-energy dance styles, in the sometimes 90 degree-plus California weather) I've noticed that my face looks absolutely HORRENDOUS after I finish the show.My eyeshadow stays wonderfully pigmented, but my skin looks terrible. The problem with this is that it is not a "far away" stage show. We perform out on the street literally face to face with our guests, and even invite them to dance with us on the street at certain points of the show. Being so close to them it makes me feel very self-conscious about how my makeup looks knowing people can see it so closely (and i'd never want to ruin the "disney magic" for them by looking so shaby); but obviously I have to wear a fair amount of makeup...it being a show and all.
and to top it all off, we perform two parades of this a day.
I've been performing for years and even work as a general makeup artist from time to time..but I still can't figure out what's going on.
My foundation is becoming splotchy, cakey, poreousy, and creasy. I've never had this problem before. I don't even sweat "a lot" compared to the other performers due to my natural lack of sweatiness when dancing.
I've been experimenting with different combos of makeup and primer and it always consists of sunscreen/spf, moisturizer, primer, foundation, and a powder to set it (either pressed foundation or translucent). Sometimes I'll set it with a little Fix+ spray as well if my skin is already feeling cakey and powdery.
It's very strange, i've never had to worry about this before.
I've tried MAC, Benefit, and even Ben Nye.

I've been thinking about trying Ben Nye's Color Cake with their translucent powder and final seal. But I'm worried about looking too "cakey" , powdery, and unnatural out on the street. Does the Color Cake have that effect?
I have Ben Nye's cream foundation as well that I'm willing to try, but I worry that it won't be resistant enough.
Do you think this combo will do the trick?
I also may want to try a new concealer for my undereyes and "side nose" areas (i don't know what the correct term is for that... but the discolored side nostril areas i sometimes get) My Benefit 'Erase Paste" works wonderfully, but sometimes gets so cakey and creasey after performing
(which is why I can't use the potted MAC concealer as well) is there any good Ben Nye concealer that won't look so cakey and keep a smooth natural appearance?

any suggestions? I'd really appreciate any input.
I'd generally like to stick with Ben Nye or MAC (maybe even Benefit) since Drugstore makeup isn't resistant enough for me outside of everyday use.

Thank you for taking the time to read my essay here :-P
But after today's literal "melt-down" performance on my face...i HAD to do something.

oh! and i forgot to mention:
I know there have been threads about outdoor summer makeup and that the answers have been "keep makeup simple" but I do have a strict guideline of makeup I need to follow for the show. I can't alter the colors or overall look of the makeup design.

Gee...as I was reading your post, suggestions would pop into my mind ("maybe try this" or "maybe try that") but you have tried or are doing it already. Do the MAC people have any suggestions as you would like to stick with their products? Overall, good luck with finding a combo that will do it for you!

yeah, it's been an on-going battle lol
I have a feeling Mac may not hold up to the heat. The liquids seem to dry out and the powders become flakey.
I'm thinking about trying to the Ben Nye route...I just want to avoid looking too overdone.

I used to sing opera professionally and am a big time sweater and was constantly losing my face on stage...the thing that really worked for me is Kryolan's Aquacolor water based makeup, set with their Fixier Spray.

Sounds funny, being water-based and all, but I found that I would sweat *through* the makeup as opposed to sweating it off. The makeup comes in a huge array of colors and is of very high quality; I suggest you try it. I still use it for stage work.

i've seen that stuff around the theatre world and never really knew what it was.
I'll have to check it out.
          thanks!

Yup, do check it out; you can buy it in little pats at first to try it out, or they have these really cool metal pallettes with lots of different color groupings.

Note: if you apply the fixier spray heavily (like I always did) you will probably get a bit of a sheen; a little bit of translucent powder dusted on after it's dry will take care of the sheen.

I find that sometimes when my make up starts looking really caked it is due to my skins condition. I will usually give myself a facial and try not to wear make up for a few days. Since you have to wear make up try to take it off as soon as you can and let your skin breath. And keep your self well hydrated! It usually works for me. Good luck! -Freya

I use the ben nye cream makeup products--I use the tattoo makeup concealer palette for my facial birthmark-- I use the creame personal kit-- and then if it's really hot an humid (like august in the southeast) I use the final seal matte sealer (use the hydra cleanse to remove it) to seal it--I have done many times the facial tribal tatoos that are so popular with tribal dancers-- go home at the end of the night with hair and clothes totally soaked in sweat but the liquid eyeliner used to make the tatto's is still there and has not ran....Ahmose/Susan
