I have a few, and have made a couple from doll hats from hobby lobby doll hats, but would like to make a few different colored ones for my friends. I can only find one site with different colored hats (CR's crafts), but everything I want is hopelessly on backorder!
Does anyone know of any other doll hat websites? I'm looking for felt top hats larger 5-7inch width i multiple color options...

I can't help but ask… are they too difficult to make? It doesn't sound like they would be. And then you would control the size and the color and never have to run out. Especially if they're felt.

I consulted with a friend of mine here in town about this recently. She is feeling drawn to make hats, knows how to do it, so I asked her about it. She is researching the materials to do it, so hopefully soon I can get her some good ol' bellydance business with mini top hats. She is very creative and has wonderful energies. If any of you ladies are interested please speak up because otherwise we may not know that you are interested!

I make felted hats, but making one that small is pretty hard. the ones I've made are more like flapper hats. Also making the style top hats I'm interested in, which usually have a larger top than inseam, is pretty difficult too, because finding a hat shaper to fit that purpose is nearly impossible(if the hat were shaped larger at the top, you wouldn't be able to get it our once the hat is done drying). If you do use a straight cylindrical little hat shaper, the hat ends up looking more stove-pipe shaped and pilgrim-looking to me.
