What about Jane?

I was wandering a Walgreen's and saw a make up brand named Jane. There were 15 - 20 liquid eye liners, gold, teal, metallics. Have any of you have 'tested' them and give a thumbs up, for the price, I want them ALL!

those were one of the first makeups i used. i really didn't like it. the pigment wasn't very strong, and it came off very easily, like by the time i got where i was going it was gone. 'course i didn't use primer, or anything else to help it stay.

That line came out years back that was geared towards younger teen/preteen skin.
They have great colors but the staying power isn't there for me either.

I haven't had good luck with Jane's staying power either. And the colors are very intense. If you like the price of Jane, Presitge makes some pretty good liquid liners....however they are not waterproof.

Hmmm, so for liners, would actually work? The gold and teal stand out in my mind. But to use as face decoration, not so much?

Honestly, for that price, I say just but them & check them out. Plus, Walgreens has a return policy on makeup where they'll take it back, even if it's been opne & used, as long as you have the receipt - no questions asked.

The brand is not Jane, it's Prestige, it's 40% off. I spent almost $26.00. Got everything but black and white.
It's not waterproof. Trying the blue today, will let you know.

Shadows crept down, as usual. Liner stayed put!

Oh! I like the Prestige liners. I've used them in the past on more than one occasion. Their lipstick is good too-- for street wear. I've never tried their shadows...and now I don't need to! Thanks for the review! :O)

Prestige lipgloss is nice, but has a weird fragrance...I had to return it (gotta love Rite Aid for their return policy!) because it tasted so bad!

The shadows are okay...you have to put a lot on to get a vivid color. Its a good line for the price.

Didn't buy the shadows, just the liquid liners. My shadows always "fall." I haven't purchased a setting solution for those, let alone use it every day. (I'm lazy.... LOL)

Prestige lip liners are good too. my lipstick "feathers" without liner, and theirs works well. GREAT value for the price!

I recently bought some of the mineral line: face powder, eye shadow , blush and eyeliner. Rite-Aid was having a buy one get one free on them. I've tried the face powder, blush and liner, all good so far.

Their gel liner isn't bad, similar to HIPs but a couple bucks less, nice brushes and decent staying power for street makeup but not sure how well it sticks for stage.

As for cheaper make-up lines, I recommend NYX. I have some of their vibrant colored glosses and eye shadows - great, great colors!

If I remember correctly, Jane does not test on animals. Generally, the other brands do. Supposedly Wet and Wild does not test, but most of their stuff is made in China and I boycott China....anyway....this went off topic a bit I think. Just thought I would throw that out there.

There aren't any places around me that sell Jane products and it's been a while since used them. A friend of mine uses some of them and seems moderately happy with them. They are obviously not the quality of Arbonne, MAC, etc, but they work well for cheap and if you can tweek how you apply them, then why not use them right?
