Runny makeup?

My teacher and troupe director is not generally a make-up wearing woman. She is naturally beautiful, but as we all know, stages tend to erase what we were born with - especially in pictures!

We recently performed a 30 minute set at an outdoor festival. Georgia in May - you can imagine the heat and humidity. I wore (in this order) philosophy's the present, BE mineral veil, lumiere cashmere foundation, another layer BE MV, and then some "foiled" BE colors and MAC pigments on my eyes, with l'oreal liquid liner and mascara. I wore blush and lipstick, too.

I put roughly the same things on her, except that she used physician's formula foundation. By the end of our performance, the make-up (mainly the eye-stuff, from what I could tell) was literally running down her face. I knew that she tended to perspire from her eyebrows, but I thought that the pigments would stand up to it.

Have any of you ever experienced this? Techniques, products, tools or tips would all be helpful!

did you make sure you put the foundation or some sort of primer ON her eyelids so that the eyemakeup would stay on?

Hmm... I will have to ask her about that. It was a little crazy, so I cannot really remember. I know I put them on MYSELF lol so I would assume I put them on her.

A "primer" is usually a dimethicone (silicone) based product put on after moisturizer and before foundation. My fave si the cheapest, s ince the maine ingredient is the same in all of the effective ones - Lumene Beauty Make-up Base, $10 at CVS drugstore. It will hold all makeup perfectly, no matter how much you sweat - I know because I use it - and my face drips when I dance hard. TMI, but you get the point.
