Once again, they discontinued something else I loved. The tinted lip balm had great colors and they lasted such a long time. It was the perfect summer lip balm with a little extra color. Then, my dog decided to go in my purse to eat it...and alas they are being discontinued in drug stores. Same with a favorite lipstick...can't find that anymore either...sheesh! If you see them, buy them up because they are great!
Anyone else have an issue with Neutrogena? I remember in the "discontinued products" thread there were several of you who complained of the company doing the same thing. Yeah, I know...maybe I shouldn't buy their stuff...but they have some great products. Then they taketh away!

Mon, July 14, 2008 - 3:11 PMI like Burt's Bees Lip Shimmers (have almost the whole set!) and I just discovered Physician's Formula almost organic (or all organic, can't remember) lip veil - pretty light colors and stays on most of the day!

Tue, July 15, 2008 - 7:05 AMI second Burts Bee's lip shimmers, I love them and they're light and sheer with just enough color to give you a little sass!

Re: Neutrogena...grrrrrrr!
Wed, July 16, 2008 - 7:04 PMI know what you mean. *sigh* I sucks when they make a really good product and then they just say "Oh well it's not new anymore lets chuck it". It is especially hard on us dancers who rely on certain products religiously to get the same effect every time when go to perform. That's a reason why if I have something that I LOVE using I buy a few of them because I know eventually it won't be made anymore, so if I can drain it out for as long as I can then I'm good.

Thu, July 17, 2008 - 6:57 PMYou might want to try Wei East Tinted Lip Smoother. Shiny like gloss but not sticky and a nice tint. You can go to www.weieast.com or www.hsn.com. -

Re: Neutrogena...grrrrrrr!
Wed, July 23, 2008 - 7:59 AMWow, it's just amazing to see how many others have suffered the same makeup fate as I. My favorite color lipstick was Bronze Goddess by Oil of Olay, bought it once, just long enough to get hooked, and they discontinued it. :oP
What I use now is Mary Kay's Satin Lips. I put on the lip mask, which you have to rub in to exfoliate (this really works!) and then let it set for one minute, wipe off with a wet wash cloth and then apply a small amount of the satin lips balm.............oooooohhh yeeeaaahhh.....heaven.
That keeps my lips looking great, and very soft for a few days. Then I use a vitamin E stick just before applying lipstick, this seems to work better than any other lip stuff I have put on before lipstick.
I had to stop using Burt's Bee's because it kept drying me lips out! Can't use any of those products anymore without a reaction. :(
Sending out some positive energies for you to find some wonderful replacements! -

Re: Neutrogena...grrrrrrr!
Wed, July 23, 2008 - 8:16 AMThanks! Yeah, Burt's Bees dries my lips out =(
I seem to have allergies to lip balms with peppermint oil in it...I get dry bumpy lips. Unfortunately a lot of tinted lip balms have that in it, and Neutrogena didn't and it kept my lips so soft. Of course my dog had to go and eat the last one!
I'll look into Mary Kay. -

Re: Neutrogena...grrrrrrr!
Wed, July 23, 2008 - 11:23 AMThis from a former Mary Kay lady: I LOVE their lip glosses. They have great colors and they are moisturizing and nourishing. Plus comparably priced to what the Neutrogena ones were. -

Re: Neutrogena...grrrrrrr!
Sat, July 26, 2008 - 1:00 PMNightshade- I went through the exact same frustration- I used the same Neutragena lip moisturizer as you and went to buy another one last week. :(
They've got a similar new one- it's now mint scented and in a silver "metal" package - so it looks more lipsticky in the packaging, but it's still essentially the same tinted lip moisturizer with SPF. It's called Moisture Shine Soothing Lip Sheers. www.neutrogena.com/Cosmetic...s_367.asp -

Re: Neutrogena...grrrrrrr!
Mon, July 28, 2008 - 8:14 AMAh so they are the same? Just different colors...they did that with lipstick too. They have the same product in different packaging, but nothing close to the color that I loved! But I will definitely look into it. Oh, I found the lip balm brand new on ebay in case you're interested!

Re: Neutrogena...grrrrrrr!
Sun, July 27, 2008 - 8:00 PMNightshade: I also was in love with the Neutrogena gloss :( This explains why I haven't been able to find it lately, my last tube is almost empty. Body Shop has a tube gloss that is similar in texture and staying power, and I don't believe it has peppermint, or at least I don't remember tasting any. Good gloss is hard to come by... *laments the loss of her favorite gloss*

Mon, July 28, 2008 - 8:48 AMHave you considered tweaking a lip gloss recipe and make your own? Not helpful, I know...

Re: Neutrogena...grrrrrrr!
Thu, August 28, 2008 - 10:05 AMFor tinted lip balm, try Terra Tints. It's a good natural-style product, contains sunscreen and a light minty scent, comes in several different shades. I use it all the time for a lighter lipstick-like effect.
Neutrogena -- ah yes, I was heartbroken when they discontinued that SPF 15 handcream they used to make.

Thu, August 28, 2008 - 5:25 PMAnother one is Hemp Organics. Only drawbacks are that they have no flavoring and are on the sticky side.

Re: Neutrogena...grrrrrrr!
Thu, September 11, 2008 - 9:41 AMI tried to get the high SPF ultra dry sheer sun cream but they don't stock it in this country (UK) and you can't even order it online. They were distinctly unhelpful when I emailed them to ask where I could buy it and in the end I had to wait for friends of ours to visit the states so they could bring me back a bottle!!!
