Hey gals, I have been using eye line for a long time and plenty of it! Yet, I do have the problem that it very quickly (without rubbing or touching) it fades or looks like its melting away I have tried brands such as Avon, MAC and Revlon and much more. All have given me the same problem. I do like to wear the darkest black. I hope someone out there could give a little advice on how to make this eyeliner disaster stop or a new brand i could use maybe? Thanks!!!

Re: Eyeliner advice
Wed, May 7, 2008 - 8:03 PMIt seems like I heard something about a makeup fixative that you can get. I haven't tried it, but there were several people that said it worked really well. I'm sure one of the ladies here can recommend one for you. -

Wed, May 7, 2008 - 9:04 PMI've found 2 great eyeliners: LipInk and believe it or not, Wet 'n'Wild! LipInk will run you about $25 where Wet'n'Wild will run you a couple of bucks! I'm a big time sweater and have very oily eyelids so I know about sliding eye make up and this stuff will stay on! Liquid eyeliners, not pencils FYI. -

Wed, May 7, 2008 - 9:37 PMHave you tried liquid? It generally wont go anywhere and if you get the felt tip liner (Loreal Voluminous is great) its as easy as stick

Re: Eyeliner advice
Thu, May 8, 2008 - 10:00 AMI just bought HIP (revlon?) eyeliner...It's in a small jar, and looks like paste, and you put it on with a brush. Mine made it through a 30 min set, outside in the heat, and an evening performance (no touchup in between) and I STILL had to scrub it off in the shower that night. It's $11 a pop, but it'll last a long time, and it works really well for me! -

Thu, May 8, 2008 - 12:07 PMBenefit has something called She-laq that you can paint over your eyeliner (or any makeup) to seal it on. -

Fri, May 9, 2008 - 12:55 AMHiP didn't work for me and neither did a Sharpie pen! Someone recommended that for me! I still stand by my recommendations!

Re: Eyeliner advice
Fri, May 9, 2008 - 8:44 AMI use eye primer, (from urban decay) then I put a "layer" of black powder down where I am going to line my eye, into the eyelashes, so that there is no "white line". Then I use a creamy stick liner from Avon (my mom sells it). I have no problems unless I SWEAT more than usual...
OR, I do all of the above, without the creamy stick, and just add some water to my "I touch roses" black mineral makeup and it sticks like NO tomorrow... =) Smooth and BLACKEST BLACK! =)

Fri, May 9, 2008 - 11:13 AMFinal Seal. I think its made from Proface or Ben Nye. You hold it arm distance away and spray your face once. It holds all of your make-up in place. For me, it doesnt make my face dry up like concrete at all. Yet, can be used as a hairspray. It really comes in handy when dancing and sweating. Its mainly used for theatrical use, but can be used daily. You can sweat bullets, and still your make-up does not fade or run. Many Cirque De Soliel talents use it as well. With this stuff, you can use ANY kind of liner, just make sure your eyes are closed when spraying. Trust me, you dont want it IN your eyes....just ON.
Also try liquid liners called "physicians formula" ....made by Maybelline (I think) Its in every CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid, etc..
I fell asleep with that stuff on and woke up with it still perfectly in tact! -

Re: Eyeliner advice
Sat, May 10, 2008 - 3:54 PMI actually ran out last night to make sure my info was right. It wasnt. Physicians Formula is a brand of its own. They have more products than I thought, but the only ones Ive used were the liquid liner and pencil. Again, I loved them both but I think the liquid is a bit better.
