because of my days and nights always getting mixed up I put prep H under my eyes, the area under the eye is a blood vessal like a hemorrhoid actually, this helps to shrink it. My dr actually told me about it because at 28 I felt just old, then I started to use this, just a dab under your eyes " dont get it in your eye" then you can do your makeup over it. it helps to shrink that area.

Is the area itchy? Could be allergy to a product like others have said or could be excema. If it's excema your doc. will give you a cortisone cream but I recommend Evening Primrose Oil for a more long term effect.....that is if this is excema.
The lines are probably showing up because the skin is dryer and irritated.

I would go to the dermatologist before trying any new products to see what they say. Trying new products could make it worse if you're not sure what it is first. Then go from there.

Good luck hun.

I know this sounds really gross, but Preparation H. Really! Models have used it for forever! It does what it says..... shrinks swelling! Don't get it IN your eyes, though, be very careful of that.

Aside from what everyone else has said about possible allergic reactions and such...

Lines? Do you smoke? Smoking causes premature lines and other dermatalogical issues in the face (and elsewhere).

And, having a few lines at 27 isn't bad. I was diagnosed with arthritis at 24. It's all about how we use, treat, and just downright abuse our bodies. Between the chemicals we injest and are otherwise exposed to, to just everyday stuff....lines, arthritis, gray hairs (yes....I have a few of those too) it all happens.

One of the best products that has worked for me is a brand named Shiseido. They are quite expensive but really good. They have a eye mask and it's effects are instant, in 15 minutes all the puffiness is gone.

I am going to the eye dr today - it got really puffy/itchy/burny after i wiped off my makeup and put some spf mazillion on....

I'm hoping that these lines are temporary and a result of the puffiness/allergies. If not - i need products!!!!

You said they recently showed up? Have you started using any new make-up products, cleanser or moisturizers? Do you use any type of undereye creams? It's always hard to know over the internet but it sounds like, if you're red, you may have some type of contact allergy to some product you're using.

I had something similar happen earlier this spring. The skin under my eyes started getting red and flakey and irriated, like I had an allergy. Long story short, something in the cold cream I was using (probably mineral oil) was irritating the skin under my eyes. Don't use the stuff anymore and I haven't had that problem since. You may need to stop using various make up and beauty products one at a time to see if they're the cause of your reactions.

As a side note, if you're worried about fine lines, be sure to use a sun screen on a daily basis, at least 15. That should help keep them at bay for a while.

Pleeeze don't freak! You might have developed an allergy to some of your eye makeup... It's a drag, I know... I just bought some really cool stuff from MAC that has glitter in it and I found out that it irritates my eyes.
Have you gone to your eye doc yet?

I'm freeeeking out cuz again - i'm 27! Any products or ideas would be great!
