With all the cosmetics allergies I've developed, using the UDPP is no longer an option. So are there any DIY primers to keep the mineral shadows in place?

Re: natural eyeshadow primer?
Sun, August 23, 2009 - 1:51 PMAFAIK the chafing relief stuff is just a silicon gel - fab as the primer but not exactly natural and not the right thing if you are developing sensitivities to that sort of thing. -

Sun, August 23, 2009 - 2:12 PMRe: Vaseline
Vaseline is a petroleum product. As far as using it as a primer...... it won't work! I tried it once. What it does is just let the make-up just slide right off your face! I would not use Vaseline on the skin unless directed by your physician, and then you must make sure it is White Petrolatum (the clear stuff). -

Re: natural eyeshadow primer?
Mon, August 24, 2009 - 8:08 AMVaseline, Milk of Magnesia AND the Monistat Chaffling Relief powder gel are NOT tested for use on your eyes & therefore are not safe for use on your eyes. With ALL products that are not specifically "Opthamologist -tested", you should NOT use them on your eyes...period. -

Re: natural eyeshadow primer?
Sun, August 23, 2009 - 7:11 PMYou got me thinking and I love to untangle a knot! LOL If you go to Etsy and type Cosmetic Primer into the search function, you will find a lot of natural, even vegan options all at very affordable prices so you can try them out and see what works best. Hope that helps! -

Re: natural eyeshadow primer?
Sat, September 26, 2009 - 11:10 AMI know it's a little late, but Woman's World magazine this week had a thing on saving money on beauty products. One of the tips was using waxy lip balm as eye primer. Their example was "softlips."
I can't guarantee it's been tested on the eyes for safety, but I would hope they're required to keep that in mind before printing it and selling a million copies.
