Anyone have a brand of eye makeup remover that they really like? I've never really come across a favorite; I always just buy whatever I see in the store at the time. Right now I'm using Benefit's "Gee ... That Was Quick!" It does in fact work like a dream, but I also find it irritates my eyes a bit.

I'd like to find one that works well without having to rub the life out of my eyes, but is also nonirritating. Any suggestions?

I use simple cold cream, but I've heard wonders from others about Mary Kay's eye makeup remover.

I also use Mary Kay's eye Makeup remover. It removes lipstick really well so I use it mostly for that. I'm also experimenting with non-oily/oil free eye make up remover. I also heard, from enKoreMakeup I think, that MAC makes a really good eye make up remover but I'm not aure how much it costs. If it works wonders, may be worth the cost.

I'm currently using the Neutrogena wipes. I wear extended wear contact lenses, waterproof mascara and waterproof pencil eyeliner on a daily basis. The wipes work well - I don't have to rub any harder than I would with an oily makeup remover - and they don't irritate my eyes.

i always chime in here(and i have like a ton of times...)

I LOVE plain old refined sesame oil- not the kind you cook with but the kind you can get in bulk or from a natural products store

there are no parabens, no irritants, no sent(it really doesn't smell like anything), no mineral oil(which is a petrollium product)no nada

i hate greasy, oily stuff- i never even use lotion cause i always feel covered in film but the sesame oil is so light that it doesnt bother my skin and it sooths the eye skin after all the piles of performance make up- i can't stress enough how great this stuff is- just try it!

Most of the time i just use a very mild lotion. But i do love the Pond's wipes as well the Biore wipes. They work like a dream on stage make up. Also helps take off the false eyelash glue residue without scrubbing.

I'll cast my vote here for Mary Kay's product. I can not live without it.

100% Clinique's gentle eye makeup remover CREAM...in the green tube...

I wear contacts and this stuff can slather all over your eye, no irritation, complete removal of all makeup, including eyelash glue and Glitter..

Also a little goes along way, no scrubbing, just a cotton ball...

      Try it!

I have two words.... baby wipes. :-) I know there's plenty at my house, they are made for "sensitive skin" and just wipe all make up right off.

I 2nd the Lancome bi-facil - I got a small one for free with a purchase and it has lasted a long time - I normally shake it up and use a Qtip to remove left overs after I wash my face. I've used the Mary Kay one and its just as good if I remember correctly.

I bought one from the Body Shop that was a chamomile lotion for eye make up, but I'm not that into it.

When out of the house, I use Marcelle makeup remover wipes. At home, I just slather on some of the coconut oil I use on my hair (pure oil, available from Indian grocery stores, doesn't smell like anything) to get all the gunk off (comes off SUPER easy) and then wash my face with a gentle cleanser.

I have dry and sensitive skin and this doesn't irritate at all.

i highly suggest cover f/x makeup remover it is frag, dye, oil, paraben free.....great for sensitive eyes, make sure u hold the cotton pad etec on your eyes without rubbing allowing the makeup remover to break the makeup to skin bond, try never to rub your eyes that area is very fragile, after holding there then gently wipe.....

I use a combination of extra virgin olive oil and castor oil, takes everything off gently and leaves my skin feeling nicely moisturized but not greasy. Even though they are both oils, the castor oil helps the olive oil come off easily with warm water, and it really does a number on eyeshadow and eyeliner :)

Body Shop , Chamomile eye make up remover. It's not oily like some and will not dry my face. I have a mix skin, love the product!

If you're the kind of person, like me, who likes to make some of their own beauty products at home (I don't go nuts with it -- what I don't make I use Mary Kay for!), there's a FANTASTIC cold cream that takes makeup off in a snap and leaves the eye area feeling soft and creamy. It's the Coconut Cloud Cream recipe from the book "Natural Beauty at Home". This cold cream can serve as a heavy moisturizer, too, but I use it as a makeup remover for my eyes. It's super easy and amazingly cheap to make, and doesn't require any unnatural ingredients (it's basically coconut oil, baking soda, water, and some stearic acid, which is a natural fatty acid that you can get from a candlemaking supplier really cheap). Takes about five minutes to make and one batch makes enough to last me a few months, and the ingredients you buy will generally come in quantities to make many, many batches. It's never irritated my eyes if I mistakenly get a little bit in there.

When I'm feeling particularly dry I use it as a heavy moisturizer after the shower, too!

My favorite is Nivea Visage eye makeup remover. However, it is getting harder and harder to find. I can usually manage some on ebay, or through a beauty supplier. It takes everything off, and you just wipe it off with a damp rag. It doesn't bother my sensitive eyes or skin, and doesn't leave me smelling like anything (a big plus in my book, as I loathe the way most makeup removers smell afterwards). Second in line is Hydra Cleanse from Ben Nye. Main benefits are there is nothing required by the bottle and a cotton pad or wash cloth, so it is great for in the makeup case and gig box (perfect for botched eyeliner), it takes of everything, and it leaves no smell behind. Again doesn't bother my skin. It can be pricey though. For regular cleansing of stuff not around my eyes I use almond oil. But some of my eyeliners and heavily water/sweat proofed designs won't be touched by that. I also keep the Pond's cold cream around for removing stubborn things at home, and for some body paint, and for when I have run out of the other and forgot to get more!

For those of you who can get to a LUSH shop, they do something called ULTRABLAND. The ethos of Lush is to use natural ingredients, organic where possible, and avoid using unnecessary chemicals.

You can find them at Lush.com

I LOVEEEEEEEEEE Lancome's Bi-Facil Eye Makeup Remover! It is the best. It removes waterproof eye makeup and lips etc... It works great for me because I wear alot of eye makeup and it comes right off. I have tried other brands but they either irritate/burn my eyes or they don't remove all my makeup.
