It can possibly turn light eye colors dark (permanently) and might darken the skin near the application site. -

Re: Latisse?
Fri, August 7, 2009 - 8:30 PMI got some! My doctor has been using it and her assistant and they LOVE it! One has blue eyes, so we shall see what happens to the darkening of her eyes. Both have LOVELY LONG DARK LASHES!
No one in the office has complained about itching, redness or eye color discoloration. I'm checking them out. Two have blue eyes and two have brown eyes that are in my test circle..
Put on my first application this PM.
Stay tuned!

Wed, August 19, 2009 - 8:11 AMI've noticed that my lashes have gotten longer and has filled in parts where there was some baldness due to me trying to remove the individual lashes. I love it and it works.

PS You can wear mascara over it during the day. Apply it at night after cleaning your face and applying eye cream or whatever. However, if you stop using it, your lashes will go back to the way they were before. Just like using mascara.

Re: Latisse?
Thu, August 20, 2009 - 10:40 AMI went to my doctor and asked about it. She said she got some freebies and she didn't believe it would work. She kept applying it for about six weeks and I noticed a difference from last year to this year. Her hair is a light brown, but her eyelashes looked longer, thicker and they were BLACK, but she wasn't wearing mascara. I figured she just had her lashes tinted.
Anyhow, I asked her about it and she said it worked! She's a skeptic too. So, she said she could write a prescription for me and I could pick it up at my local pharmacy. I did. It was kind of expensive, but they were running a deal, one for $125 or two for $200. The bottles are SMALL, but you don't need a lot. One bottle is supposed to last about five weeks, but I don't use a whole drop, I use half a drop and I've noticed a difference in just one week. I had bald patches where I tried removing those stupid individual lashes and now there is hair growing there.
Plus, you can use make up in the day time, including mascara. Just clean your face every evening as usual and use your eyedrops and eye cream (whatever your usual routine is) and put a drop or half a drop on the brush that is included and apply it to your lid near your lashes like an eyeliner at night time before going to bed. My doc recommended using just one brush and not one on each eye as directions say. She said the liquid goes further, plus if you are using mascara, you are using the same brush on both eyes, so what's the difference.
I love this stuff and I hope I can get it forever. I got the two deal and my husband didn't make a stink about the cost. He said he knew it was inevitable. You know I've asked numerous false eyelash questions on this board over the years.
Good luck and if you need more info, just ask.
