best eye cream?

Wow, its amazing how much money eye creams cost...for such a dinky little bottle/container. Before I go out and buy anything I wanted to see if anyone found something that works well with fine lines and dark circles? I'm approaching 30 and I'm already seeing the damn lines, lol. I'm pretty sure it might have something to do with Proactiv drying my skin up a bit, but my face is absolutely flawless (even better than prescription stuff I've been put on). So now I have to pay the price of getting lines...grrr....

So has anything worked for anyone? Thanks in advance!

You're 30 and starting to see lines? I'm 22, and I see mine getting deeper every day! :-P I would've been happy to put them off a few more years...

Anyway, my suggestion. I have some under eye circles to contend with on my more tired days, so I've considered all the eye creams in the book and tried many of them. When it comes down to it, the best thing I can do for myself (while not breaking my bank account) is to use some Oil of Olay moisturizer in some variety of "age-defying." For $16 or something, I get a container that's at least 4 times the size of a regular eye cream, but it feels like it has a similar effect after consistent use. I put it on my under-eye area in the morning every day before applying make-up to that area (allowing it to dry first, of course), then top that with some Rimmel face primer, then go at it. With the combination of moisturizer, tinted primer, and very gentle foundation/concealer application, I find the lines become less noticeable over time.

Hope my novel helped a bit!

Do you wear sunscreen during the day? That's a great way to help prevent lines from forming.

I don't have a specific eye cream I use. A lot of times, I will just put on aloe vera gel or some rose water and glycerin. Moisturizing but gentle enough for use around the eyes.

I have been using ANEW since my early twenties. I usually grab them when they are on sale, that way I don't ever pay full price. AVON also has free shipping, so you don't have to find a person in your community that sells it. You can look on www.freeshipping.org for the free shipping codes. =)

another thing besides moisturizing and sunscreen that i have noticed helps me a lot is exfoliating regularly... i just use the st. ives apricot srub and it really works wonders. i just moisturize with unscented lubriderm. sounds crazy but it really works on my face. the only thing i've noticed that works for my under eyes is regular sleep and a bit of concealer. :)

I'm 42 and I barely have any lines. I use vitamin E oil at night and Dr. Hauschka Daily Revitalizing Eye Cream for daytime. It's expensive, so I get it on EBay for less when I run out. I figure that I'd rather spend more on my eyes now with prevention. I also drink my 8 glasses of water everyday. I've noticed that when I don't drink the 8 glasses of water, the lines look much deeper.

oh my gosh, great point about the water!!! that is so SOOOOOOOO important to good looking skin in general! i also have to say that the less alcohol you consume the better your skin will look too! my husband was drinking very heavily for a while and i convinced him to stop for a while and his skin has literally started GLOWING!

And one more "don't forget" is that smoking causes the skin to become dry and lined and prematurely aged. Quit now, look better, and have more energy and breath to dance, too!

And for creams I really like Burt's bees Royal Jelly eye cream. I'm 41, started using it a few months ago and am seeing a big difference.
