So I recently discovered (thanks to a tribe tip) that the henna penna exists. I 've wanted a product like this for ages. I've always been frustrated with the fact that I can draw some very pretty henna designs on paper then completely fail to reproduce them with paste, and I think the henna penna might solve my problem. And at the price of one decently detailed professional henna job, I thought it's probably worth a try.
So has anyone here actually tried it? If so, what was your experience? How dark did it stain? I tend to stain pretty dark, regular henna gets almost black on my feet and fingers. Was it easy to use? How long did the stain last? how would you rate the product overall? Which color looks the mostl iek regular henna?
Thank you all so much for sharing your experiences!!!!!

Re: henna penna: anyone tried it? (X post)
Wed, September 16, 2009 - 8:43 PMdo you have a link to this product?
Usually the fresher the henna the better so if this pen is pre-packaged it might not be as effective as creating the paste fresh yourself.
But generally, the longer you can keep it moist, with lemon juice preferably, the better chance you have for a darker stain.
My girlfriend owns a henna studio- you could ask her, www.konahenna.com
She uses a jacquard art tube- you can buy different tips at a craft store. Some are very fine, they look like cake decorating tips. But it is kinda like the old t-shirt paint tubes.
