There was a thread on this topic before that turned me on to Kryolan's fixing spray. (Note: Kryolan make up products - not Krylon paints). Holds finished make-up really well but washes off with soap & water! Nice for sensitive skin. :)

I've used mineral oil to remove makeup after using Final Seal, and it worked. Mineral oil and almond oil have different properties. Mineral oil supposedly is not readily absorbed by the skin, whereas almond oil is. My thinking was that I'd rather not have my skin absorbing stuff while I'm trying to remove makeup--but that was just me. Probably any oil would work, and maybe it's just a matter of preference.

I am really bad about using makeup remover, and I can get my makeup off (after using Final Seal) with just plain old Dove. :-) My dance teacher uses almond oil to remove make up (like the kind you can by at the grocery store and eat).

I use Nivea Visage eye makeup remover. Ben Nye also sells Hydra Cleanse, which is a makeup remover that absolutely takes everything off. Soap and water usually doesn't do it, but a waterproof or eye makeup remover will take it off. Never tried the oil, but since it gets other waterproof makeups, I imagine it would work.

I want both and they are being held hostage by the post office, hopfully to be deliverd this week- I swear that I am faster than the US Mail. I love the colors of the loose mineral powder colors but they are so smeary and flakey they just blink off and mess everything else up. I use many eyeshadows as eyeliners , and have been disappointed to say the least, but I am hoping the sealer will fix the problem of smearing all over my face- I too would like to know how to remove the stuff. Elbow grease? Mineral oil? Baby shampoo? (my fav for removing eye make-up) Or is it on for good?

Does the Final Seal wash off with a regular cleanser or do you need something special?

I've used the Final Seal from Ben Nye. I thought it worked just okay, but my fellow dancers *love* it. :-) You sort of mist it in the air in front of you and walk through it (eyes closed of course). Do it a couple of times to make sure you get everything.

Final Seal is the stuff you can mist over the whole face. LiquiSet is a mixing medium. You can mix it with powdered pigments to create a waterpoof paint.

Theatre House is a great retailer if you can't get it locally.

I know of She-laq to keep eyemakeup from running, but there was something else folks mentioned that can be misted over the whole face as a final sealant to help super-sweaters keep their makeup intact. I can't remeber the name of it and have had no luck running a search here. Any ideas?
