Due to the third thread reaching over 50 posts, I have started a new one for the weekly photo. To recap: each Monday morning I go through the photo archives in reverse order and select an inspiring photo for our cover girl spot for the week. Right now (September, 2008) I am in November of 2007 in the archives. So many wonderful photos in there!! This thread is so that you can go directly to the featured photo and leave a comment, as tribe will not automatically click you through when you select the main photo. And it can take some time to search for it. Please leave comments about the photo there in the photo section, as tribe sends a copy of the comment to the person who posted the photo. Chat is still fine on this thread too, we just want everyone to know when they get their well deserved kudos!

And without further adieu, this week's featured photo is of Qamar:

How do you do little tiny spiky bun-like things like what's in her picture? Does anyone have a tutorial on these?

It's pretty easy actually. I'm not sure if there's any tutorials, but here's what I do.

1.) Put two ponytails wherever you want your buns to be.
2.) Loosly wrap the hair around the base of the ponytails.
3.) Secure with pins (the kind I have are shaped like "U" and have ridges to grip the hair...I found them at a beauty shop.)
4.)Pull out lots of little hairs and make it look all messy without losing the general bun shape.
5.) Shove all sorts of cool things into the buns! I put antique chopsticks into my hair for that particular photo. But I do other stuff too. Jewelry, flowers, feathers, etc. Go wild, I say! ^_^
