I love wearing heavy liquid eyeliner, but every time I wear it, by eyes start to burn slightly (not painful, just annoying) and then water like crazy, washing my makeup away.
Does anyone have a great water proof eyeliner for sensitive eyes?

Re: eyeliner help?
Sun, April 20, 2008 - 7:50 PMSorry no advise, but I would LOVE to know too!
I have not worn much (any) make up in years. I will for special occasions. Life got the way type thing and no time for me to be pretty. I think I'd like to go back and pretty it up again. My eyes are no longer use to make up like back in the day. Anything easier on them would be great!

Re: eyeliner help?
Sun, April 20, 2008 - 8:08 PMwhat kind of eyeliner brands have you tried? This may be obvious (you might have already tried this lol!), but there are liquid waterproof eyeliners for sensitive eyes. I use maybeline liquid waterproof eyeliner. Im not sure if its for sensitive eyes but I love it cuz it doesnt run off like others, its kinda, meh like liquid latex, you can peel it off sometimes (if you use a crap load like I do). Other stuff Ive tried just rubs off too easily, this stuff doesnt run, but it'll kind of flake. Shoot, Im bad at expaining things. -

Re: eyeliner help?
Sun, April 20, 2008 - 10:20 PMI'm a big fan of MAC fluidline. Stays put, and seems to be pretty gentle. L'oreal HIP makes a good gel eyeliner that's very similar, and a bit less expensive. -

Re: eyeliner help?
Mon, April 21, 2008 - 2:04 PMI strongly concur; I found that the liquid liners would run into my eyes and sting; I far prefer Fluidline. Haven't tried the HIP one but hear good things about it. -

Re: eyeliner help?
Mon, April 21, 2008 - 9:06 AMI have been using Almay's Amazing I-Liner for at least ten years (probably longer). It's not water proof, but it is "water-resistant ". I have never had problems with it smudging. I tried five or six different kinds of eye liners before I found this one and all of them irritated my eyes. Plus I love the design, it works wonders and it great for doing facial "tattoos".

Re: eyeliner help?
Mon, April 21, 2008 - 3:36 PMI prefer Kohl. It's loose powder that you paint on with a small stick. I haven't tried the real deal (from Egypt etc) But I use the Sally Hanson stuff you can get at Rite-Aid. -

Re: eyeliner help?
Mon, April 21, 2008 - 3:43 PMI called Sally Hanson's lab (Dell Labs)less that a month ago and they said they stopped making Kohl YEARS ago! I would be careful as to when it was made, not sure there is a shelf life on that or what. The real stuff from overseas as been found to have high levels of lead. There was a thread somewhere on this very thing. Can someone find it? Hope this helps! -

Re: eyeliner help?
Mon, April 21, 2008 - 3:51 PMMy liner is Almay. I love the way it goes on and I love the way it looks. I just wish it wouldn't turn into a mess when it made my eyes water.

Re: eyeliner help?
Mon, April 21, 2008 - 3:38 PMOK, take it one step further - my eyes do that just when I decide to wear mascara! I've tried lots of different types, but it seems since I don't wear makeup every day, if I wear anything near my eyes, it's bloodshot, burny, watery (hey, what drugs are you on...) eyes for me. Guess it's a good thing that I live in a small rural/mountain town and makeup is the exception. But looking for good ideas for when I need/want to pile some on - I miss it!!
