I would realllly love to have new hair!

I have ultra long hair below the waist length, I have bangs, but I have always had bangs because I have such a horribly high forhead. I was teased as a kid that I was the poster child for the hair club for women...

I dont want to get rid of length on the main part of my hair, though I may possibly go with a bit of a razor layer (had it before... long time ago)

I want short bangs. Just above my eyebrow perhaps a bit shorter. Does anyone have examples of this style on women with ultra round faces and/or high forhheads?

I've found a few, and they look fine to me...
But I need more examples... LOL

My hair is a big deal for me... =)

I just went through a very similar thing. I had very long hair that had no shape and bangs that I'd had for eons. I finally broke down and went to an actual stylist (spendy!). It was the best thing I have ever done. He was fantastic. It wasn't one of those situations where you show the person a picture of what you want and they cut your hair into something similar (or not). We actually sat down and discussed what I wanted, how much time I had to spend each morning on styling and stuff like that. Then he spent three hours cutting and coloring my hair. It was fan-fricken-tastic. I was able to keep the length and losse the bulk. I have an actual hair do now. It's great. My upkeep is quite a bit less expensive than the initial appointment was, so it's very doable.

Anyway...to make a long story short (too late) I suggest paying someone to help you out. It's worth it.

Yeah, and if you are just doing your bangs (make the appointment for that) the price isnt bad at all, even at nicer salons!

I've seen short bangs in girls with all sorts of face shapes and I like them. You can cut them straight, round, or in a v (following your brows) and it will give you a different look.

You can pin the base of your bangs back on top of your head with a barrette and see what different lengths/shapes look like on your face before you cut them. (does that make sense?)

        yup, Treja, makes perfect sense!

I'm gonna call my hair lady in a few days to see if she has any openings...

She hasnt cut my hair in a very long time! I've been having my mom trim the back... I do the bangs... but a big hair doo change is kinda scary...

        Thanks

i had long hair before, i decided to try it a little shorter (mind you, the longest layer is still about a 1/2 an inch past my bra strap if im looking ahead, but it's short to me) anyway, it felt GREAT to have it that much shorter, with the layers i can actually swing it around, and my whole head felt so much lighter! (i had long hair since i stopped being a bald baby)
im not trying to talk you into cutting it shorter than you were thinking of, just giving my experience, so you can consider it ^_^

i also second going to someone that you trust and talking out what you want and what will work with your hair/face/routine
    good luck!

      oh, I've had short hair.
My hair got cut, without my realizing it to just below my bra strap two weeks before my wedding. I was LIVID!

      I've had short short hair...

I love my long long hair... =) I get it cut twice a year, about 3-4 inches every time... I take pretty good care of it too... not dye it too often, no radical bleaching...

I want new bangs. I want to still be able to put my hair into braids... long braids.... =)

So... I'mma gonna go to the hair lady and see what she can do =)

I have a round face with some serious cheeks and I love my shorty bangs. I usually have my bangs cut blunt straight across above my eyebrows I have a bob haircut but even if I decided to grow out my hair I would keep the bangs.
