Re: Anyone tried 24 Hour Superstay Makeup?
Sat, October 3, 2009 - 7:04 AMYou could always try it & return it if it isn't up to snuff (most drug stores let you return makeup with a receipt, even opened & used). -

Re: Anyone tried 24 Hour Superstay Makeup?
Sat, October 31, 2009 - 5:51 PMOK...I bought it and have been using it for the past week. I don't know about the whole 24-hour thing, but I like it. It seems to provide moderate coverage (I don't use it on entire face..just where I need it). No adverse reactions, so that's a good thing. The color I chose works for me. Although I have worked out while wearing it, I towel off so roughly that, yes, some of it comes off that way (I think anything would!). I still need to do an actual "test" of it... you know... wear it, dance at least a 20-minute set, then check mirror. Will do that soon.

Re: Anyone tried 24 Hour Superstay Makeup?
Sun, November 1, 2009 - 12:31 AM24 hour makeup? Interesting.
The info in the link says it's "sweatproof" with "no transfer" but it doesn't sound like it if it comes off on your towel at the gym. On the other hand, I'd be leery about anything that really did stick to my skin that well.
The first thing that came to mind was the old adage that you age your skin 7 days for every night you sleep with your makeup on. The theory beind that was that your pores can't breathe, I assume....hmm Any makeup or skin pros here care to shed some light on that?
My fave for staying power is MAC Studio Fix creme makeup. You used to get it at the MAC freestanding stores, but now you can only get it through the MAC Pro website or a Pro store (nearest to me in LV). I'm currently using the Studio Tech creme product, but don't think it stays quite as well.
I sometimes have a weird itchy feeling after sweating in it through a show. It seems to go away without redness after a bit though.
So you do like this stuff, Sasha?

Re: Anyone tried 24 Hour Superstay Makeup?
Sun, November 1, 2009 - 12:56 AMWell, when I workout, I SWEAT (notice the use of capital letters). I've been doing these timed interval workouts so I have only so many seconds in between rounds...I literally grab my towel and WIPE...not blot. Luckily I usually work out at home so I can quickly hit the shower and wash all the gunk off my face. Honestly, I'm usually in such a hurry, I can't remember to "sweat check" how the makeup stays! I'll have to make a concerted effort to do it.
As far as just every day wear goes (i.e. just to get through the day at work), it seems to hold up pretty well, but no better than Revlon's.
I don't get the whole 24-hour thing either. I'm the one who cannot wait to wash my face! I most certainly can't sleep with stuff on my face. Ick!!!
